Wignall Animal Hospital was established in 1970, and we have been providing fine veterinary care to the Merrimack Valley area ever since. We embrace the strict standards of quality required for accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). We are equipped with the latest medical, surgical, dentistry and diagnostic equipment, a fully computerized record-keeping system, radiography, diagnostic laboratory and life-support equipment, and our compassionate and friendly staff are here every day to serve our clients and patients. For most people, pets are not just animals but are members of the family. At Wignall Animal Hospital, we treat your “other kids” as if they were our own. The entire staff of Wignall Animal Hospital is dedicated to the health and well-being of our patients, so please do not hesitate to contact any of us with your questions or concerns.
We recommend routine physical examinations and vaccinations for young patients and for senior and geriatric patients. Just as with human medicine, as a pet reaches its golden years, we recommend senior-specific laboratory tests to help us gain insight into an aging pet’s health.
While you’re away, allow us to take care of your “kids” at their home away from home. Your pets can visit Camp Wignall for boarding, baths, haircuts, nail trims and dog training. Cats, dogs, reptiles, birds and exotic small mammals board year-round at Camp Wignall. Physical examinations, vaccinations, laboratory tests and more can be done during any boarding stay. Plus, they’ll get plenty of exercise: we have the largest indoor and outdoor dog play areas in Merrimack Valley!
We are fastidious about our staff. We only hire staff who are intelligent, knowledgeable, caring and skilled and who love animals. We provide extensive training to new employees, and continuing education and training are ongoing for all staff in order to ensure that we deliver the very best care possible to all our campers and patients. Keeping our staff current on the latest thinking in animal care, behavior and handling is one of our fundamental values, therefore ongoing continuing education is an integral part of working at Camp Wignall.
Wignall Animal Hospital and Lowell Veterinary Clinic are happy to offer clients different ways to pay for veterinary care, grooming, boarding and daycare services. We know that you want the very best for your pet during routine visits and screenings and during sick visits, treatments and surgeries. No matter what service your pet receives, payment plans are an option for you.
We are pleased to offer interest-free payment plans through CareCredit®. CareCredit offers a convenient, low-minimum monthly payment program to help you with the best treatment recommendations for your pets. We will assist you with the quick and easy application process. CareCredit helps make pet health care decisions even simpler.
Pet insurance is becoming more and more popular as more pet owners realize how they and their pets can benefit from it. We have information available for coverage provided by Trupanion®, and we recommend that you purchase insurance when your pet is a puppy or kitten, as you’ll benefit from the insurance more the longer your pet is covered.
